Gentle/Moderate
Introduction to Yoga: A 4 week pre-registered course. Absolute beginners
start here to learn the fundamentals of Yoga. Gentle
Restorative Yoga: Deeply meditative, supported
postures facilitate a release of held tension in the body
and a calming and quieting of the mind. Both drop-in and pre-registered
classes. Gentle
Vinyasa Prep: The fundamental principles of Vinyasa Yoga are taught as
a foundation for safe, intelligent practice. Introduces students to the
foundations of all Vinyasa (flowing) styles. This drop in class also serves as a continuation to
our 4 week pre-registered Introduction to Vinyasa Yoga course.Gentle/Moderate
Prenatal Yoga: Prepare your mind and body for the most challenging work
of your life. A flow of postures and breath work to support your pregnancy
and prepare you for labour. All levels may join at any point in pregnancy.
Gentle/Moderate
Hatha Yoga: Develop strength and flexibility
while learning to consciously balance effort and rest. Release
the spine through stability and breath. Hatha classes taught
in the tradition of Vanda Scaravelli. Moderate
Gentle Flow: A gentle and deep meditation in motion.
Sweetly deep, nourishing and effective. Come away feeling
relaxed, energized and renewed. Gentle/Moderate
Flow Yoga: Journey through the Chakras opening
the body for exploration in a sequence of postures to promote
glandular health and rejuvenation. Move slowly focusing inward,
as you explore your individual edge and let go of expectations
of achievement. Moderate
Kripalu Yoga: Gain awareness of the sensations
in your body as you practice classic yoga postures with flowing
breath. Compassoinate self-acceptance is stressed as an essential
element of this practice. Breathe, relax, feel. Allow yourself
to be where you are as you move through your practice and
into your self. Gentle/Moderate
Community Class: Taught by students of our teacher training program,
these popular Vinyasa classes tend to move slowly and are full of detailed
instruction. Moderate
Moderate/Intense
Advanced Hatha: For students who have worked
for a year or more with Patricia White or other yoga teachers
influenced by the work of Vanda Scaravelli. In depth asana
practice, breathing, hands-on-assists, developing a personal
practice.
Vinyasa Yoga: All the elements of Yoga come together
here as we connect the mind and body by the rhythm of the
breath. Flow through an intelligent and creative sequence
of postures as you release tension deeply and inspire your
deepest potential.
Vinyasa Flow on the Go: A 45 minute Vinyasa
class.
Anusara-inspired Yoga™:
Anusara Yoga is a co-participation with the Supreme. The poses
are "heart-oriented," and expressed from the "inside
out." The poses originate from a deep creative and devotional
feeling inside. On our mat, we endeavor to reconnect with
our innate goodness and express ourselves from that Divine
place. Anusara-inspired teachers have studied Anusara for
at least one year and have completed at least 100 hours of
Anusara Yoga studies. They have made a committment to regular
study and practice of Anusara Yoga, aligned themselves with
the Anusara Yoga ethical guidelines and are still in-training.
Ashtanga: A Vinyasa style Yoga which involves
synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures,
producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat
that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved
circulation, a light and strong body and a calm mind. Taught
using the primary system condensed to a 1.5 hour class.
Pilates/Yoga Fusion: Strengthen the core muscles that stabilize the spine
and give the body a strong foundation, allowing more efficient and less
stressful movement. Improve posture, balance, athletic performance, and
help prevent injury.
Kundalini Yoga: Known as the yoga of awareness,
Kundalini yoga features a blend of postures, breathing, mantra
and meditation. This class combines inspiring music with active,
dynamic poses and relaxing meditations. Come prepared to sweat.
All Levels
Self Practice: Open to all students, this open class
is resided over by a senior teacher available to assist, guide
and support students through the process of developing a personal
practice. Deepen your understanding of, and proficiency in,
all aspects of your asana practice. Open to all disciplines
of Yoga from level 1 up, students may arrive quietly at anytime
during the 2 1/2 hour period.
Postnatal Yoga: Restore, tone and strengthen after
childbirth. Babies welcome until they crawl.
Parent and Tot Yoga: Fun games, playful exercises and interesting props
keep children focused and engaged as they connect with their parents and
others through movement, breathing and relaxation. Children crawling to
age 6 welcome.
Mother’s Group: Free Mom and baby drop-in.
