This is a three class workshop. Each class is two hours long.

For expectant mothers, the physical practice of Yoga builds strength, flexibility and stamina while alleviating many of the symptoms of pregnancy. This mindful practice helps new Moms tune into their bodies, their breath and their innate their inner resources. The meditative practice of yoga, provides an opportunity for Mothers to connect with their baby's as they build the confidence and strength they need to continue the journey into motherhood.

This workshop provides an opportunity for partners to become actively involved in this journey, to practice all that yoga has to offer in a couples preparation for labour and birth.

Each two hour class will provide:
- One hour of: practical information on labour and birth
- Instruction and practice of breath work
- Positions for labour; their benefits and practice
- Forms of massage specific to labour
- One hour of: yoga practice.

The postures chosen will be beneficial to both of you and will help build flexibility, strength and stamina. They will also give you an opportunity to practice the coping skills and strategies that you will take with you to the labour and birth of your baby.

The emphasis will be on learning, practicing and tapping into coping strategies and support skills. This class is a good compliment to a Birth Preparation Class (Prenatal Education) and a good refresher class for parents having their second (or more) babies.

No previous yoga experience is necessary.
